So quickly he will start to grow, And time will fly so fast.
Just hold tight to his little hand, And make each moment last.

First State Fair

Before the fair we ran a 5K "Milk Run" on the fair grounds. We ran with Aunt Deborah, Aunt Connie, and Uncle Jim and Uncle Matt bravely watched over the big cheering section during the race. Afterwards we took Colin to see all the different animals. They all peaked his curiosity but by far his favorite was the bunnies (unfortunately no pics of him and the bunnies).

Here a chick, there a chick...

You eat your hay, I'll just snack on my Cheerios (slash fist)

I am suppose to drink your milk?

Colin Goes Boating

Hey Captain, let's go

Hit more waves!

Break to play in the sand

Boating is tiring business

And the Little One Said "Roll Over"

This last week we were curious as to when at night Colin rolls over from his back to tummy. So we decided to check on him before we went to bed and here are a few of the positions we found him in.

Ready, Set, GO!

So in one short week Colin has gone from rocking and inching along to full fledge motoring across the floor. He does a pseudo army crawl using both arms at the same time to pull himself forward.

Eight Month Update

There have been several exciting milestones this past month. Colin is rolling over both ways. He apparently is a stomach sleeper as we put him to bed on his back and wake to find him on his tummy every morning.

Colin also started scooting around on the floor. It started by spinning around on his tummy to get various toys within reach. Then it progressed to being able move for toys out of reach but he could only push himself backwards. Then he was able to lift his butt off the ground and dig his toes into the carpet to inch himself forward slowly (while pushing his big belly and sometimes face across the ground).

Colin is quite the talker now. Current syllables include la, da da, ma ma, na, and aagh. He even will repeat the different sounds we make including raspberries and zurburts. He will also occasionally wave bye-bye on command.
